Rapido fits different heating systems depending on the model and year of manufacture. Most recent campers have a Truma Combi on gas or diesel, while the higher models are often equipped with an Alde wet heating system. Each system has its own typical quirks, but the symptoms are similar: the heating blows cold, switches off after a short time, or does not start at all.
With a Truma Combi on gas, an empty or frozen gas bottle is the most trivial cause. Also check that the gas tap is fully open and that the pressure regulator is not faulty. In the diesel version, a blocked fuel filter or a faulty metering pump can be the culprit. An Alde system works with a circulation pump and a heating element on 230V or gas; an air bubble in the circuit or a faulty pump often results in a cold radiator while the boiler does get hot.
