With a gas-powered Truma Combi, the most common causes are: empty gas bottle, frozen gas pressure regulator, dirty burner, or a faulty ignition unit. Always check first whether the gas hob still works, so you know if gas is reaching the appliance at all. With a diesel version, it's often a blocked fuel line, a dirty glow plug, or an error code on the display. Consult the manual for the meaning of the error code. A thorough cleaning of the burner and replacing the glow plug typically costs between 150 and 300 euros, depending on the model and workshop.
Alde heaters operate on a closed circuit with glycol. If the heating doesn't get warm, air often gets into the system, for example after topping up the boiler. Bleeding can sometimes be done yourself, but it's precise work. Another culprit is the circulation pump: if it doesn't run, the hot water doesn't circulate. A new pump costs roughly 200 to 400 euros including installation. If in doubt, always have a specialist look, because a wrong diagnosis can be costly.
Modern Pössl campers are full of sensors and circuit boards. A faulty temperature sensor, a broken thermostat, or a software error can completely block the heating. Sometimes a system reset (disconnecting power briefly) helps, but often reading out with diagnostic equipment is needed. Expect 50 to 100 euros for a diagnosis, excluding any parts.
